Tech leader board placement

We’ll work with you to identify and place a cohort of tech leaders with your nonprofit grantees or other community organizations. We tune programming to your overall social impact and business priorities, including designing evaluation and storytelling that makes the most of your investment. Our programs are truly turnkey for your team, so you can build big impact even with lean resources. Our full program solution includes tech leader and nonprofit outreach and training; matching and placement; and onboarding, coaching, and support for leaders during their first months of board service.
Through tech board leadership, you’ll:
  • Engage leaders in high-impact board service and learning opportunities.
  • Drive digital transformation for nonprofits.
  • Support nonprofit leaders in turning on tech governance for mission achievement.

Nonprofit training

With Board.Dev tech governance training, we’ll help your grantees or community partners explore or implement tech governance, including learning how to activate or engage tech leaders more effectively as board members. Tech board leadership can be a lever to make a board more active and engaged and transform how organizations use technology; it can also amplify your existing investments, such as product or donations.
Many nonprofit CEOs have tech-skilled leaders on their boards but are unsure how to activate them; others need their boards to level up on tech overall. Our board trainings will give CEOs a common language and framework to talk about tech, ensuring board members are tackling the right questions and staying at the strategic level.

Event-based engagement

We build marquee events–the Tech Resource Boosts–connecting tech leaders to nonprofits, virtually or in person, for high-impact consulting about tech governance and priorities. Our proprietary tools guide participants through a quick assessment that highlights hot spots and opportunity areas for deeper exploration. At the end, nonprofit leaders have a clear map for addressing–not just naming–their next steps, including making a case for funding that can make those next steps real.
Nonprofits experience what it’s like to work with a tech board leader, and walk away with clear next steps for tech governance; tech leaders build confidence in how their expertise can translate and power nonprofit success.

Advisory services

You want to ensure your investments in grantee or community partners are high ROI–but nonprofits struggle to leverage product donations, pro bono, or funding for technology without the tech-fluent leadership they need to make good decisions or act on opportunities. And you want to find and support the right nonprofits for your social impact aspirations.
Board.Dev can help you close the gap. We work with you to design and build programs that support your overall needs, from nonprofit digital transformation to successful cooperation with other institutions. Tech leadership is a culture carrier, and board engagement can help you build more effective and robust relationships with the nonprofits you want to serve.
